We received two important communications from professionals in the field of science education. National Association of Biology Teachers Executive Director Wayne Carley wrote, "I enjoyed reading the newsletters; congratulations on all your hard work and for a great product." And Kate Dobson, Publisher of Scientific American, wrote to thank us for our coverage of their publications in our Fall 1998 issue, which she termed "concise and thoughtful." She also asked us to pass along "two clarifications": Letters to the Editors: Our Readers Respond
"1) Scientific American is no longer publishing the single-topic issue in September or October. Those have been replaced with the Presents series.
"2) Explorations is written for the parents of 6-12 year olds. There is a kids section in the middle of the magazine edited for the children, but the magazine itself is written for parents."
