Like the author of this Newsletter (see p. 13 of our Winter 1996 issue), the author of this article toured the US Department of Energy's Hanford Site. He describes what he saw and learned from extensive interviews of Jerry Erickson, who began working at the Hanford Site in 1959, and Tom Bailie, a "downwinder" whose contentions of conspiracy were so outrageous that even author Harden "could not decide what to make of him."
