Studies investigating the relationship between human health and electromagnetic fields have failed to meet all the criteria established in 1965 by the British epidemiologist Sir Austin Bradford Hill to demonstrate cause and effect: 1) biological plausibility, 2) experimental evidence, 3) epidemiological evidence, 4) lack of bias, 5) clearly defined exposure, and 6) absence of multiple comparisons.
